Old Age Home “Sahyogi”

Sahyogi Old Age Home, located in Islampur, Nalanda District, Bihar (801303), serves as a residential facility for senior citizens. Supported by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, Sahyogi provides comprehensive care to elderly individuals, ensuring they live with dignity, respect, and comfort.

This year, Sahyogi has successfully served 50 senior citizens, addressing critical needs in health, nutrition, and recreation, while promoting social interaction and mental well-being.

Objectives

• Provide a safe and supportive environment for senior citizens.

• Ensure access to healthcare, nutrition, and recreational facilities.

• Promote social inclusion, mental stimulation, and overall well-being of residents.

• Advocate for the rights and welfare of elderly individuals in the community.

• Healthcare: Regular medical check-ups, access to essential medications, and specialized treatments.

• Nutrition Support: Balanced meals tailored to individual dietary needs.

• Recreational Activities: Programs to promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall engagement.

• Safety Measures: Ensuring the security and comfort of residents within the facility.

• Special Treatments: Free cataract surgery successfully provided to 19 beneficiaries, restoring vision and improving quality of life.
